The Metal God
Sand is slowly slipping
Under my naked feet
Rust is slowly creeping
On my silver cheek
My statue has been here
Since I was dead and buried
The people have been kind
To give me a metal feast
They loved me while I lived
For my soul full of screams
Hundred years from now
They won’t remember me
I would be left alone
Beside this dying sea
But my songs would live forever
Through the voice of fantasy
Kids who love to dream
Would sing my melody
